Horticultural Society Trial of Geraniumt

The trials will took place during 2002 and
continued until the end of 2006.
There were three phases to the trial each lasting two seasons, all invited plants were duly planted
and were:
Stage1: Trial of Geranium, hardy (excluding alpines), for a sunny position
and
included: G. asphodeloides, G. himalayense, G. ibericum, G. renardii and
their
related hybrids and cultivars.
Stage 2: Trial of Geranium, hardy (excluding alpines), for sunny and
shade
positions and included: G.
x oxonianum, G. sanguineum,and their related hybrids.
Stage 3: Trial of Geranium for shade positions and included:
G. sylvaticum, G. pseudoibericum, G. rivulare, G. phaeum, G. x
monacense,
G. aristatum, G. delavayi, G. reflexum, G. gracile, G. albiflorum, G. erianthum,
G. eriostemon, G. palustre, G. platyantum, G. macrorrhizum, G. x
cantabrigiense,
G. wallichianum, G. koreanum, G. koraiense, G. rubifolium, G. soboliferum.,
G.sinense, G. pogonanthum, G. lambertii, G. polyanthes,
G. kishtvariense, G. kotschyi, G. krameri, G. nakaonum, G. pylzowianum, G.
rectum, G. shikokianum, G. suzukii, G. swatense, G. yoshinoi, G. yunnanense and their related hybrids and cultivars
Rock Garden: G. argenteum, G. caeruleatum, G. cinereum, G.
dalmaticum, G. x lindavicum, G. napuligerum, G. orientalitibelticum,
